What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

You are all so lovely! Thanks so much for the well wishes in my new role as a great aunt. I get to meet the little sweetheart in just a few hours…..they will be staying here overnight.
Today was 5.7. Sadly I ate some almond flour crackers today and spiked my sugars….and then my body taught me a lesson and gave me a very painful gas attack…rare for me. Serves me right.
Chicken wings for supper

4.8 fingerprick today libre 5.0 First time in a long time fingerprick read lower than the libre :O
drizzly day again off to pool when it opens chasing up nhs complaint put in about blood samples going awol now today is 10th day after original complaint not had written response nor new date for samples. I asked in the original complaint where can get hba1c done via finger prick rather than vein sample alongside pointed out c-peptide can get done via urine. still need for lipid's but hey ho. if they going to do more bloods, i'd like all out of the way at once. ie full set.

Winner for the FBG Hugs for the missing bloods not being addressed. Some people use the company A1cNow to test A1c bloods privately however I am not sure of their accuracy compared to hospital tests. I know I used to use a lipid analyser tp check my cholesterol. The device did a full lipid count from a finger prick test. Great for keeping a general check on lipids but measured lower when compared to intravenous bloods drawn by a DN.

I have had to ask hubby to eat my crackers….i cannot be trusted with them. 6.7 this morning….unbelievable!
Met the little one last night, she’s adorable. They have left for home now, so my afternoon will be spent restoring the basement suite to our gym.
