What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

3.9............I have NEVER had 3.9 before. So low, I checked it twice. 3.9 not sure why, but there it is

noticed in a prior post you were able to stop insulin and still take oral meds do any of those come with hypo risk if so would keep careful eye on that side and if consistantly sub 4 then maybe worth speaking to your dsn again those meds maybe can be reduced a little too. best wishes.

I do wonder if I can reduce my oral meds a bit. One of my meds is Gliclazide, which I believe can have a hypo risk, so that could maybe be reduced? I've never been on insulin and don't want to start it tbh

its possible, you'll need to speak to your dsn thou. the downside of course reducing that is that your average sugars will most likely increase a little, speaking to dsn will be best or perhaps skipping and speak to your diabetic consultant instead if possible. wouldnt worry too much either way. just suggest keep eye on, i know theres a 5 to drive rule when on insulin.

https://assets.publishing.service.g...vers-with-diabetes-treated-by-non-insulin.pdf severe means needing assistance from another person might be worth checking that link out if uk and drive.

hypo is considered <4. not too sure why as some non diabetics can have BG in 3's zero hypo sympthons best guess is over caution... others at same token can have hypo symthons a lot higher BG 5's etc .

(edit removed word her and corrected a spelling)

Happily, driving isn't an issue, as I've never learnt to do it. But will monitor things very carefully over the weekend and will call the nurse on Monday if still low

6.4 this morning and still on the "rabbit" food diet sadly. In fact my neighbours actually have a rabbit in the garden and they feed him/her scraps all day long, I am certain the rabbit eats better than me. Thinking of hiding in the hutch one day and grabbing a decent meal.
Rabbit foods is part of my life too!

Forgot to check first thing
7.4 at 9ish after clearing the house and garden a bit for the first visit of my grand daughter to mine (she's 3 , daughter wouldn't bring her round because I had a dog)
Had hot dogs and a nice day in
the garden and I'm 6.7 at 1557 ..
Very hot and sticky all day. Maybe the forecasted rain might break it!

6.3 today.
A cooler summer day, I’m pretty happy about that. Took niece to hospital today, no sign of labour yet. They gave her a good checkup and sent her home….wont induce until 41 weeks, 3 days….she could be here awhile. Took her for a nice walk around the ponds in hopes it would help her.

libre 5.3 off for swim after breakfast. fitbit is weird sometimes yesterday said over exerting self body needs time to heal. today its telling me not doing enough total distance yesterday 8km (inclusive of 1km swim). 2 days ago managed 10km inclusive of 1600meters swim which is JUST shy of a mile. Slowly getting back to old exercise hopefully wont be too long til can start to do large hikes up several hills again. miss hiking up the mountains for the full day

Morning All 8.0 today so makes a change from 8+ which happens most days. @ChrisT2 I had a vision there of you crouching in a rabbit hut waiting for Deliveroo lol. My tum doesn’t tolerate much salad leaf wise or raw but I get Mr P to cook wide strips of coloured peppers on the bbq and they are delicious cold for a few days.
Take care everyone and don’t get caught out in the storms.
