D7 of my LOW INSULIN diet another 0.6 kg lost, making a total of 4.9Kg in 7 days 5.2% of total body weight. Average blood sugar yesterday 4.8mmol (down by 17% overall) , morning liver dump high 6.0mmol, high after 1600 calorie mega meal 5.0mmol .

Can I keep up this diet ? absolutely I could do this for the rest of my life and enjoy it - total revelation.

Thanks, @Diabeticliberty. Definitely looking forward to the weekend, though the temperature are expected to drop another 10 degrees. Brrrh!

Do you have anything exciting planned for the weekend?

Loads of doggie stuff. I have a Debussy piece that I am working on piano that is proving an absolute nightmare to break so will be flogging my heart out on that one. Loads of time in my new bed which is giving me the best sleeps that I have ever had and of course a little single malt whisky

Southport is the jewel in the crown of the Merseyside Riviera. Have a great day there :)

I always admire people who are really talented at music -- unfortunately, when I was young my piano teacher dispaired over me. I still enjoy listening to good music though.

11.2. Still high argh...
Still early days. It may take a little time for your numbers to come down. I'm newly diagnosed within the last six weeks and my numbers were about the same like yours starting out. But my health team wasn't overly concerned at that stage, so I decided not to be either. Rather at that I decided to focus on eating properly because get my health back. (I spent a week in the hospital back in September with very high blood sugar.) Just keep moving forward and you'll get there.

I was once told by my GP not to eat grapefruit, but I can't remember why? Any ideas?
