What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

well even worse today 6.8 at 12:15 , but must admit I have done a lot of cleaning as my f..king cat has been peeing in my sofa this morning... and I have been chasing the creature around in my flat to take it there and have a shout about that wrong place to pee... I think she has maybe done it because I was so slow to get out of bed..... hmmmfppp :)

Good morning all, seems like lots of coughs and sniffles. Hope you all feel better soon. My bg, same as yesterday 6.9. I guess it's constant! Still in a lot of pain. I am on a lot of different meds - none for diabetes - does anyone know if this affects my bg?
It of course depends on the meds some like steroids will raise blood sugar levels.

Like a child who has done his/her first poo, I am proud to present my fasting BG levels since starting insulin therapy. I think it's quite a clean trend (don't know what others think?); not much in the way of wild variations. All helped along with a low carb diet.

Have had to go up to 14+14 split Levemir basal to keep it below 8 mmol. I'm going to keep it slightly high in order to travel next week (don't want to risk a hypo). But, on the whole, happy with progress!

Morning...good sleep after a busy evening...twenty four home made chocolate brownies languishing in the freezer...ten jars of mine meat (laced with Port Wine & Brandy) standing to attention in the kitchen...still lots more to do...there never seems to be enough...mince tarts still to make...all ready for one of my rare visits to our office soon...Christmas tree done...decorations up...presents wrapped...although Harry (Dog) helped himself to one of those yesterday...fortunately he didn't find the chocolates...thank goodness for small mercies...woke to a 4.9

When we're unwell...particularly on medication anything that raises our stress levels...causes anxiety can lead to a rise in our BG levels...in addition to certain medications...sometimes (often) it's difficult to predict how our bodies will react to pain...those numbers are not massively high...still within range...hopefully that will settle as the pain wears off...if you do have concerns about the continuing fluctuations...give your surgery a call...put your mind at rest...won't do any harm to ask for their opinion.

Urghhhhhhhhhhhhh Freema...definitely sound like a protest pee to me...just let mine out for the third time this morning...refuse to let him have a cat flap here...would have too many 'presents' brought home...lets hope the cat pays attention...learns their lesson.

Oh my goodness, sounds like a busy day! I'd like to say I'm that organised, but I can't! I was going to write my Christmas cards yesterday due to my enforced inactivity, but I didn't get round to it....hopefully today!!

Good morning........5.1 this morning.@Bubbsie Youve got Christmas sorted!!We collected logs yesterday after visit to the dreaded dentist, and now have lots to take to daughter when we visit to see them next week after their move to a new house.Secretly,I think Mr Mac just wants to play with their new wood burner and give them "advice"on how to use it!!;)

Not sure I'm organised paula...more like desperation...I am one of the least organised I know...asked my little neighbour Olivia (aged 7) if she'd like to help with the cooking on Sunday evening...when she finished school on Monday...she duly turned up right after school...on the dot...so had to get on with it...as for the cards...had a burst of Christmas enthusiasm...wrote around twenty...then came to a full stop ...waiting for the next burst of Christmas Spirit to finish the rest..hoping that happens before the last posting date...since I've written 2017 on the cards...so they're no good for next year...fingers crossed:nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:.

Still have a lot to do Glenmac...usually do it in stages...blimey how brave of you to venture out in the cold to collect logs...especially after a visit to the dentist:nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:...hope it wasn't too intrusive/traumatic...what is it about our men...power tools...now log burners...won't be venturing into the woods for my logs...off to Tesco's to buy some...due to get a lot colder here...will have the heating on as soon as that cold snap appears...but...there is something comforting about a real fire...particularly this time of year...until you have to clean out the grate the following morning of course.

@Bubbsie No cutting down of trees involved yesterday,or power tools. We have a local place where the logs are cut and bagged. Its a collect your own and load up pay and go!!Very civilised and close to beautiful countryside,so quite a nice trip! Also much cheaper than Tesco and better logs.Ive a return to the dentist to have my pesky jaw ex rayed in January and we'll get more logs then.
