What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good morning people

Sweet smelling French Jasmin on a day when things are likely to prove a bit less sweet smelling for me as I take the day off work, (actually working from home would be a fairer comment) as I have to prepare for a gastroscopy and colonoscopy tomorrow morning.

Not even risking a walk today as I don't know when the little pills I took last night to "clean out my system" will kick into action.

Actually, glucose control will be a secondary consideration for the next couple of days; the recommended diet for the preparation is not what one would call low carb, pasta and white bread and no vegetables.

Morning sugars this morning at 5, 2 which is not bad considering I had a whole pitta bread last night.

I always love your photos. Even if I do get a bit jealous! And good luck with the next few days.

I am 6.1 today.

Oh dear,7.0 this morning........last nights family meal out, ordered fajitas, thinking eat the filling ditch the wrap, but the hotels idea of a fajita was an ensalada, hate making a fuss on a special occasion so ate some. However, lunch was perfect earlier.avocado(yes!!) and chicken and bacon salad,at Sheppeys cider farm shop/brewery in Somerset.:)

Well done, not making a fuss a good decision. You ended up with quite a balanced day.:)

Mine was 5.4 this morning, a bit of a surprise as we went into town yesterday for a family meal at Zizzi's restaurant as my son is staying with us for a few days. I did not make the wise choices that I should have But it seems I have got away with it well in the short term any way.:)

thankyou you do make me feel better cant do emoji as on laptop x

Sorry, I think I misunderstood your original posting. There is a sad faced emoji at the side of this mornings blood sugar and I thought you were suggesting that you weren't very happy with the 8.5 you posted. I am a bit thick headed at the best of times.

By the way you can put emoji faces in your posts on the Forum with whatever device you are using. Just above the text entry box you should see a series of tabs that allow you to characterise your text. You have bold, italic, underline and loads more. If you click on the smiley face one then a whole pane of emoji faces should come up. Just select whichever one you like :)

5,6 this morning at 6,40 am. I have been up since about 3:00 taking endless trips to the toilet. Not the best way to spend the night.

If I am honest I am also a bit worried about the gastroscopy and colonoscopy I have coming up at 9:00 AM. Not so much about the procedures themselves, I expect I will be out and so will not know too much about them, as about the result. I know there is no point worrying about something I can do nothing about or that might never materialise but I don't seem to be able to help myself.

At least the whole thing will soon be over.

And looking at the bright side of things, it's Friday.
