Hello and welcome to the thread. We're pleased you could join us.Hi from Canada….think I’ll start posting in this thread, I find it very interesting
I’m adding the last week of results
Aug 3: 5.5
Aug 4: 6.3
Aug 5: 5.4
Aug 6: 5.4
Aug 7: 6.0
Aug 8: 5.7

to see anything in the 5’s is amazing to me! I went totally carnivore for three months and my A1C rose, so I’ve added a few carbs and my numbers are improving….interesting!
Yes it seems to be the trick. Was allowing myself more carbs to test my tolerance, but need to go back to less carbs now. Then get back to trying again once my results are good againYes, I weaned myself off gliclazide by reducing carbs further.
If I were you, I'd raise a separate thread in the type 2 neighbourhood of the forum, where it's more likely to be seen by former gliclazide users.

FBG is a complete mystery for me my readings during the day are fine which gave me a recent A1c of 36. I think if we can keep our control tight ow it should work out. I have never taken Met but I do take a Solgar multi B vit daily.8.9 this morning!! I stopped taking Metformina month ago and my levels have risen a lot. I stopped taking it because it can cause a deficiency in Vitamin B12. I had all the symptoms (my mother also had it) sohave to have a blood test for it as soon as they send for me.
