What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

My mum's plum tree is very bountiful this year. I'm hoping she doesn't give me too many next time I visit!

11.0 today. Forcing down some pâté dropped it to 9.0 in an hour. Going to have to keep up this habit no matter how painful :/
I feel this right now. I am struggling and feel very overwhelmed. But I know I have to keep going and turn it around.

Is there anything particular you are struggling with?

Thanks @philly1991

I'm struggling with most of life but the specific problem above is that I hate eating in the mornings, in fact my body isn't comfortable with food until about 4pm. But eating a snack when I get up stops my liver producing more glucose. I don't want double figure BGs all day if I can drop them by eating, but it's quite a battle to force food into my mouth.

Maybe if I do it every day I'll get used to it? Time will tell...

Morning all.

My libre says nine point one. That’s the highest morning reading I’ve ever had and I’ve been testing for around ten years

I have an nhs endo meeting in September and I’m reckoning that a higher dose of insulin may be recommended

Yesterday I had a scan of my pancreas- fingers crossed alls well in that area

Beautiful sunny day here and the seagull chicks are screaming for food. Despite their reputation I think they are ok. No, more than ok it’s their world as well as ours .

Have a good day all, if you possibly can

Thankyou, I'm hoping they're open today! Also braving food shopping, wish me luck
I work shifts and it has fallen on my day off which is great. Do you have anything nice planned?

good luck you'll be fine theres a ton of low/very low carb options out there for snacking on. hopefully you have a wee list of some snacks that agree with you to top up ur cupboard and fridge. best wishes.

i plan on possibly going for a short swim was a little busy a few minutes ago, as the holiday villages pool gets closer to check out time it should get quiete enough for a few lengths was a little busy just now. i'll try again in an hour :) still recovering from a couple of days ago walk... did way too much. tomorrow plan on trying to chase up mental health services for needlephobia/blood sampling issues. i'd much prefer a long term solution that doesnt involve tamezpen & diazapan will take a good while to get there CBT - and exposing self should help. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy works in a lot of cases.
