What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

libre 5.4 after made breakfast when initially got out of bed 4.4 soon traveled up, putting lower down to compression low even thou no pressure on the sensor itself :)

morning spikes been getting a little higher maybe something to do with not able to go swimming as frequent silly winter pool hours :( doing a fair bit walking in its place doesnt seem to help as much. going to see if can goto mainland once during the week for swim. way too costly to do daily alongside travel time required :( roll on april when pools normal 7 day a week schedule starts and opening hours at quieter times of day 8am not many usually there. new weekend restricted hours its like sardines with a queue to get in
 
6.6 this morning. @Bcgirl I am 100% with you on the bafflement and frustration of roller coaster readings. Often I am advised to do plenty of exercise after meals or throughout the day but like yourself my BS numbers just go in the wrong direction which I am told is simply my liver over compensating. Whatever the reason it brings it home to me how illogical and sometimes confounding diabetes is making it's management so tricky and completely individual.
 
Yesterday I drove from the east coast of England where I live across country to Swansea in order to see bob dylan tonight.

I’d packed a dozen boiled eggs some amazing jars of roasted peppers in virgin olive oil and some cheeses which made a fabulous non glucose spike lunch

However on arrival in Swansea I was tempted and succumbed to two glasses of red wine and an Indian meal. Of course I avoided the rice, the papadum , all of the obvious carby stuff etc.

Due to the true wonders of the libre I noted as my glucose levels rise from five to just over seven where they stayed for more than twelve hours.


The last time I ate at an Indian restaurant was pre diagnosis , ten years ago !
