everything good for me! getting better though x
I was thinking to myself about what my most tastiest carb was - probably chips... and then thought that there must be more low carb, low carb options?

I wondered what everyone's tastiest low carb carb was and what the most low carb carb option there is that anyone has (more for my own ideas of what to eat that's low carb!)

Hi

Let me know if my understanding is correct.
You would like to know what is a low carb alternative to chips?
You refer to a low carb carb, which is a rather confusing concept. Do you mean a food which is high in terms of carb content but which has a slow effect on blood sugar levels I.e. has a low glycemic index value?

i havent found an alternative to chips, butternut squash or celeriac chips look like chips and taste ok but not really anything like chips, cauliflower mash is a nice alternative to potatoes but is hardly chiplike

There's not any one tasty low carb option, there's LOADS,

Celeriac
butternut squash
cauliflower is so versatile
loads of other veg
cheese
meat
cream
butter
over 70%cocoa chocolate
ground almonds
coconut flour

You can make allsorts of things.

Last weekend I tried cauliflower pizza base its amazing.

That might be what you wanted?

Mashed cauli (cauli boiled and blended in a blends with a bit of cream and cheese). Cauli rice (raw cauli grated using the grater on a food processor). Swede, turnip or celeriac as a substitute of potato. Roast squash. All taste good.

I always substitute the cauli rice when I have a curry. I substitute the swede or turnip as a topping in shepherds pie and the mashed cauli as an accompaniment to stew or sausages or as the topping for a fish pie.

The only "low carb"
Alternative I can think of that is actually as good as the real thing is carrot & swede mash ! Proper nice.

Forgot about that...I love carrot and swede mash! Well done mo, i'll have that next week.

Thinly sliced aubergines and courgettes fried until crispy, No idea how many carbs but it must be less than potato fries.

For a healthier less calorie packed version sprinkle with some olive oil and oregano season to taste and stick in the oven.

Go very nicely with a raw tomato salsa and a garlicky yoghurt dip. You can add some crashed raw unsalted pistachios as well.

Must remember to have this soon!:-)

Home made chicken soup made with leeks and double cream.

You can make sum decent chunky chip replacements from thickly sliced courgettes coated in Parmesan cheese and baked.

Thinly sliced sweet potato, light spray of 1 cal, oven baked, seasoned with black pepper.
