Gotta love the new AED's! ALMOST idiot proof!:)

They sure are, the whole course is much more streamline or so it seemed. Was definitely fun. :)
Apparently, with the new generation defibs, you can program what type of voice to instruct you (like some GPS's). I would love to have Billy Connolly telling me how to use the defibrilator !!;)

*In all seriousness, Staying Alive is a good beat to do CPR compressions to. Kinda cool eh?

Been a bit overcast again today, but the evenings are getting lighter, it felt a bit odd driving home while it was still light!

Getting warmer now 2.8 degreesC at the moment but it froze last night as usual. The sun's just come out. Snow still on the ground but patches of grass are beginning to show under the trees.

I meant to post this last weekend - we went to Swansea on the Saturday for No 1 son to have a look at the University. Sadly, it's not right for him (it's great if you want to do science or engineering, but he wants to do German and History as a joint honours and the facilities and academic staff for that seemed so-so to us). However, it was a lovely day: the sun came out and it almost felt spring-like. There is one really good thing about Swansea Uni, which is that three minutes' walk from the Campus brings you here:

We sat for half an hour and watched some layabout students playing Frisbee :)

Grey and breezy today, and apparently it's going to rain later (Winchester). Can't win 'em all.

Hi Neale,
Welcome to this forum. I'm writing to you all the way from Central Victoria. There's a few from Oz that make regular contributions to the UK forum and you'll find most of the Diabetes lingo similar to Australia. The exception is Diabetes Type 1.5...(never heard of that one before)Anyway have fun with the blogs - never know, you might learn something as well...I know, I did!:)

It's about 12 hours earlier here and there is a minus in front of the 24. Would you care to trade?

Once when I was young and foolish I spent a weekend in the snow - and NO, I don't want to swap! My motto now is " if palm trees don't grow - I don't go". Actually when sometimes it is 35C and the humidity 100%, an hour or two in the snow is a nice thought.

Hi Doriand, I'm new type 2, brought about by a medical condition that requires me to take very large dose of Panafortelone (starting at 100mg per day, but now down to 37.5) and it has caused me to become diabetic. Finding it very hard at my age to change . The information I'm getting from this UK site is marvellious. Only by cutting Carbs well below what the local experts are telling me is right, have I been able to get my sugars somewhat under control. I think that the diet industry spends a fortune trying to keep the average person confused
