Over the years there have been many that I like or have amused me

Smash mash spuds with the robot aliens being my all time favourite

Of the current ones on telly every time the Galaxy choccy ad comes on I join in singing 'moon river' such a dreamy happy ad I think

So over to you good folks what d'ya think?

Ford Transit van with the Slade tune....
they don't make them like they used to.....

The late great Leonard Rossiter :)

You really are serious. People actually watch the channels with advertisements.:wideyed:

But seriously though, the public information ads from the 70's. The kids on the farm, the hypothermia victim , the kite flying kid and more but I just can't remember them.

Put in a green "shell suit", smeared in muck then made to (Arnie voice.) "get to da chopper!"
I spent 14 hours on this boat off the south coast making this add.. True!
The film crew were more used to making Oasis videos for the American market?

The foot ball retriever suffered the same fate as kite boy too...

@Jaylee. Was very young at time but vaguely remember Charlie saying something, someone asking if Petunia could swim and Reginald being s**t at reversing a car. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on any of those.

I don't think your far wrong there..! :p

What about what sounds like Kenny Everet voicing this one??
As a kid I could never understand how this old boy could get about so slow without wobbling about... o_O

Only the funny ones, I hit the skip button on the FetchTV pvr's remote for the rest.

On my PC I can record television shows, and I paid for software that I can edit out the adverts completely. This is for documentaries that we want to keep.

Anyone remember the cat in the Charley says ads

The little boy interpreted the cats meows

The meowing Charley cat was voiced by Kenny Everett

I never knew it was KE voicing the cat..

Bit of a comedy hero of mine.!

There is one out at the moment, it's a bear having a good old backstretch on a tree to a funk seventies tune. Brilliant!

Has anyone else noticed that most of the new adverts have backing tracks from Motown, northern soul and funk?

Without a shadow of a doubt, the current "Yes I Can" ads for the Rio Paralympics. Absolutely bloody brilliant! Past ads, the R Whites secret lemonade drinker, and the Black and White adverts for Guiness
