Where to buy large bags of Mixed Nuts ?

You could try Holland and Barratt - they often do an offer of buy one, get one half price which bring the cost down a bit. They also do buy one get second for a penny but I'm not sure if they include nuts on that. :thumbup:
 
It's one of those things where you might have to shop around. I use pine nuts in some recipes and they are ludicrously expensive. Most places have exactly the same price. Lidl though has them at half the price.

For more general products though if there is a decent health food shop in the area, they would be your best bet. We don't have one here but I sometimes go to one near my sis-in-law. They have huge ranges of products at prices greatly below that of supermarkets. I also find prices in asian and chinese superstores very much cheaper. Often bags of spices are less than £1 whereas they'd be in a fancy jar for £2.50 in a supermarket.
 
I nearly always use a large Asian food supermarket as they are usually very cheap and reasonable and sell all type of nuts except macadamia (?)
 
I buy mixed nuts and raisins from Aldi for 56p for a large bag.

They are value packs and Aldi also sell my beloved almonds for £1.50 odd for 200 grams. Same bag in Tescos costs £1.99.

Not seen the nuts on the penny offer, unless you get buy them on the buy one get one half price offer I find Holland & Barrett expensive, I stocked up on my green tea this week and was told I'd just missed the half price promotion :(

Aldi and Lidl are more resonable for seeds and nuts but the bags aren't the biggest, other alternative is to look on-line Snowball.
 
Lidl is awesome. I love pecans but that are always expensive or not even available in other supermarkets. I love Asian supermarkets. Partly because I'm Trini and we get our curry powder in Natco brand bags for 50p instead of a fancy jar or tin for up to 10x that as aforementioned. Holland and Barratt is daylight robbery.

Oh sorry, Trinidadian. Indian, Chinese, Lebanese, Portuguese... A lot of ethnicities on a small island, but basically EVERYONE curries EVERYTHING. Astounded at the priced of both Tesco's nuts and garam masala.
