Which Carb App?

I have looked in iTunes store and there are loads of Apps to assist with diabetes. But which one should I buy?

Any recommendations good people?

Do you have any specific requirements such as carb estimation for meals, BG logging, graphical trends, etc?

If you specify exactly what you'd like then you'll get some more feedback from those using apps for diabetes management.

I'd recommend 'carbs and Cals ' by chello publishing

I use it to calculate carbs in food, meals etc it's a great app

Thanks for that. It was the one I was looking at so taken the plunge.

My wife is from Carlisle (Cumwhinton). Love the lakes but so does everyone else!

Whereabouts in Dumf & Galloway are you living?

I know Cumwhinton decent pub there

I use the app a fair bit it's even got a section about McDonalds fast foods lol although not a fan of beef burgers if I go there I always have the Fillet O Fish

Actually in Dumfries, just along (1/4 mile) from the famous Palmerston Park footy ground. Up the Queens.

I can not seem to add exercise in the app and it updates the database everytime I start it up - is that about right?
 
Have 2 cousins live in Dumfries both are QOTS fans
Carlisle United for me

I don't know about the exercise thingy on the app I don't use that part of it soz

I just carb count and use it for insulin regime

The updating thing is a royal pain...

Only recently has the app managed to successfully store images offline. I stopped using the app for that very reason about a year ago. Due to my work (passenger ferry), I don't have a constant Internet connection.

Although now it has been resolved, the app still seems to try and update itself every time on startup. I can't find a way to disable this function.

Other than that it's a great app!

Carbs and Cals is popular. I also like MyFitnessPal for general food/weight/fitness :)
