Hi, welcome to the forum! I'm tagging @daisy1 who will send you some information which should be helpful.
You may not need drugs at all. Unless your health provider has advised to the contrary, try the Low Carb programme first (you'll find a link at the bottom of this website's home page). I did and I've been drug free for almost a year now with BGs mostly in the non-diabetic range. :)

What is your glucose level like currently?

There's many ways to effectively reduce glucose level.
 
Cutting out as many carbohydrates from your diet as possible is the best (non) drug to bring your sugar levels down.
