Why am I suddenly getting dawn phenomenon?!

Hi everyone, new to posting but not to reading the forum :) wondering if anyone can shed some light on a problem for me...

I've been type 1 for 21 years and have never really suffered from dawn phenomenon, but for the last month or so I'm waking every day with sugars in the teens no matter what level I go to bed on, and i can see from my libre its heading sharply upwards from 6am.

Only things I think could be affecting this are that I came off the pill 4 months ago (but am not pregnant or trying), and have been doing yoga every evening from around the time it started. I've also recently switched from lantus to levemir and from novorapid to fiasp but the DP change predates both swaps and has not been improved by them. Or could this just be to do with my age - I'm 35?

My nurse has no idea why this could have started happening, does anyone else?! Thanks!

Hi @C_Ruby_B , and welcome to the forum!
I've also recently switched from lantus to levemir
Do you take your Levemir once or twice a day?

Other than that, I'd suspect coming off the pill may be the cause. Periods, pregnancy, menopause, starting the pill, everything to do with those hormones is known to affect our diabetes.
I'm afraid how those hormones affect an individual is quite unpredictable, as some of us go low around our periods, others go high, and my endo told me she couldn't tell me how starting the pill would affect me when I asked.
