Hi all,
I am new to this after being diagnosed in October.
I went on a diet reducing my high GI carbs, lost 10 kgs in three months, but my HbA1c stubbornly was still glued to 50!
Presumably my pancreas released more glucagon to release more stored glucose from my liver???
The balance of insulin and glucagon must be an interesting study in positive and negative feedback!
I'm taking warfarin and I'm just wondering if this poison impairs the livers function to respond to the two vital feedback hormones from the pancreas?
regards
Derek
