Why don't some people get it?

I am the same. Changing my diet hasnt affected my eating issues. They are a different battle. But the positive is that we are becoming aware of them. I too found stopping smoking easier than tackling my food issues. And yes, I think its all addiction, some people are addicted to some things, others are addicted to other things. Mine is food. So I need to approach this in the same way as any other addiction. I dont think I can remove the things which led to my food issues, but I can deal with them from where I am now perhaps.

Am on a lclf diet (around 100 carbs a day) since being diagnosed at christmas. Am 6ft and weighed 14st. Don't drink or smoke. Have lost 2st since January but still struggle to to keep below 7.
