Accu chek expert for me.... it's not great if you're out on a cold day, though.
None of them are good on a cold day.

Luckily I also have the Libre, but have had to hang around the golf club house waiting for the expert to warm up enough to test for driving...
That is enough to put me off the Libre, great idea but too many downsides. With time I'm sure the foibles will be ironed out.
It's not the Libre that needs to warm up, it's the Accu-chek... usually takes about 15 minutes to warm up, making it useless for testing while you are going round the course & the all important test before you drive home...
The Libre has been the best thing ever. Other than some red skin where a sensor has been, it's been accurate, only failed once and is brilliant for sport as you can test quickly and as often as you want. It's transformed my as I no longer flirt with hypos while golfing.

The Freestyle Optium (called Neo in DK) is extremely accurate but needs lots of blood. I like Contour XT, which is nearly as accurate and needs only a tiny bit of blood.I am back on a freestyle lite. It's incredibly basic, but rarely has errors, gives accurate readings and doesn't require tons of blood to get it to work. I have a libre too which uses optium strips, but TBH I find it a bit of a faff as the strips need a lot of blood in comparison and if you don't get enough they fail. But when I have the sensor on I like to only carry one thing!
I like the SD code free as the strips are cheap but was given an rx nexus. Have bought mini which is small but uses same strips as one from doc. I now leave the brick in my desk drawer at work but keep the mini in my bag. Good so far. Draw back - case same size so if anyone knows of anywhere where I can get a customised case?I currently have a Accu-chek mobile. I love the idea, hate the constant errors I have from it.
Accu-check meters are very blood thirsty I find, anyone got any recommendations?
one touch verio IQ needs constant charging
next USB alright but need buttons pressing all the time!
Am i being overly fussy? i just want something easy that works :'(
The more I read about the Libre the more i like it (except sensor cost of course) Do you still need to check a blood sample before driving? Is it not accurate enough?
