Howdy,

I've been working and getting way better with estimating how much carbs are in food I'm about to eat.

My weak point, however, would definitely be fruit. My girlfriend leaved out a fruit bowl because that was her pregnancy craving and I love snacking and have a will as strong as a wet paper bag. It's not secret to anyone that fruit is REEEEEALY sugary. It, however, isn't really consistent. I've tried a few guides and aps which try to sum up how much sugar is in certain fruits and they don't seem to be very standard (then again neither are fruit)

Anyone have a reliable way of having an idea of how much sugar they're taking in when they're down an apple or bunch of grapes?

The only thing I can think of is to weigh them and then use an online calculator. You would have to know what variety as well because two different kinds of apples are probably different.

Weighing is good. I've learnt what an average apple looks like and I know that's 15g carbs. If I have a smaller or larger Apple, I just mentally add a few more carbs on. The easiest thing to do is to learn the carb values of your favourite fruits, or estimate and test after to see if your estimate was correct.
