Why should I be bothered anymore....

It is a time since I posted anything on here but feel now is the time to add an update….
…thought I would post it on this thread rather than starting a new one so that anyone who has followed my story may get to see it…

The time has now come to make changes to my life so for all of those who have advocated that in the past I have finally got here…

Sometimes life has a habit of taking an unusual turn when you least expect it and you find something in the place that you really weren’t looking for it…

I have met someone who is bringing new joy and happiness into my life, who is treating me with love, care and total respect….he is fully aware of my circumstances and is being so supportive over what may well prove to be a difficult transition period as I make the necessary and much needed changes to my domestic situation.

What happens here at home has yet to be fully resolved but my now ex-partner is making plans to move on….part of me will still care for his welfare to a degree but it is now time to think about my own future…I am confident that my future will be much better than where I have been….I already feel much more calm and relaxed and far happier than I have for a long time...and am looking forward to a brighter tomorrow....

For reasons I would rather not say at this point I will be staying around here on the diabetes forum….having found a number of invaluable friends here I will be remaining a member of the forum to keep in touch and who knows what else I may pick up on here when I need it…

Just wanted to share some good news for a change….

@Scouser58 ...thank you for your kind message....so far so good in the transition phase...all is going smoothly and reasonably amicably and hopefully domestic situation will be resolved by the end of this month...am sure there will be some mixed emotions over the next couple of weeks or so but the result will be a much happier me...:)

As for sticking around on the forum I will definitely be doing that....I have learnt a lot on here since joining and though not having diabetes myself have seen that with the right attitude diabetes can be controlled....in fact the new man in my life is also diabetic but has a positive attitude to dealing with it and has managed to bring it under control with diet and exercise....in a strange sort of way it was diabetes that brought us together ...the world works in mysterious ways as they say...

I have no doubt that he will do all he can to make life better for me and am looking forward to the future for the first time in a very long time.....take care and keep in touch....:)

Hello Molly56, good to hear your news is proceeding in a great way,,,is your new man on the forum also,,or is new to him?,,,,well you won't have to worry about all the things you previously did,,,well will keep in touch,,keep the happiness in your eyes, mind and heart and you will have a good spring, Easter and summer,,,,,ttfn from Karen.

@Scouser58 ...hello...so far so good with developments here...everything progressing relatively smoothly towards the desired conclusion...hopefully all will be resolved within the next couple of weeks...

...to answer your question...the new man in my life is fully aware of the forum and has been for some time....he is fully aware of my situation and what has happened as documented on here...he is also aware of how through diet and exercise you can control Type 2 diabetes which is so refreshing and a breath of fresh air compared to what I was having to deal with before....

...in fact the advice and encouragement he is giving me is also helping me to think more carefully about my food choices etc which can only lead to a healthier and happier me....the future is most definitely looking up and it is many many years since I have said that....things are only going to get better from here on in....I definitely now have the happiness I was looking for...and so does he....

Take care and keep in touch :)

Hello Molly56,,,,Glad to hear you good news,,,and things getting better for you,,,,you have been so patient and you deserve all the great things to come,,,,
Always kicking around,,,,,Will keep in touch,,,,and taking care of yourself is vital,,,

Getting used to thinking about number one first.....just booked a 'me day out' to RHS Chelsea Flower Show for next year....on my own...:)....think this is how it is going to be from now on...
....anyone else want to come too......:)

Hi molly56,i'm just over chelsea bridge,.........

I'll get the bus ready,

@Clivethedrive ...that's good....will know where to come when my feet get weary and I am all flowered out...;)...can wave across the water to Battersea Park from the flower show...have you ever been to the flower show yourself...was also considering a day trip to the Hampton Court Flower Show...have been to both in the past and enjoyed them each for different reasons......looking forward to it already....:)

@Clivethedrive @donnellysdogs @Robinredbreast ....couldn't sleep so just looking back over old threads....to think this exchange was only 17 weeks ago and look where I am now.....looking forward to my days out at Chelsea and Hampton Court....
:)....and much more besides.....

It's easy to say "cheer up" but from experience our problems and feelings are all to real,so book yourself a spa and chill out ,learning to enjoy ourselves, and just getting away for awhile is whats required Molly56
@Clivethedrive .....some good advice here...thank you....:).....I may just do that....is just what the doctor ordered...:doctor:....

Hello Molly,,,I have just listened to the song from the carry on gang,,,saucy what?
Well going to the flower shows,,,,have a great time,,,and find something special to plant when you get back home,,,,,if you are going on the last day,,well bargains can be gotten,,,,hope things are going well with your moving forward plans,,and your home is more peaceful and calm,,,,well the dawn has arrived and I am going to bed now!!,,,keep in touch,,,ttfn from Karen.

Hello Jaylee,,,after I had posted to you , I sat and did a bit of counting about that 'song' it was sang in 1969,,,,which means it is 47 years old! 47 years? have we moved on, or what?,,,and they all sang with straight faces,:singing::singing::singing:,,,, well ttfn from Karen.

Hi Karen,

Lol, I don't think much has moved on.. The same "gags" still get brought out with slight variations to the plot.
The "source" of this probably comes from a collective mindset..?

The show highlighted below for instance emulates British "bawdy" humour whilst parodying American TV show & film "formatting"..

Hi Jaylee,,,They do say what goes around comes around,,,but I must say somethings don't improve with age,,,,family guy programs,,,I don't find them funny,,mostly irritating,,,,the insinuation of 'Hampton court',,,would get some people up shouting,,at the song,,,,

Well here is another bit of info,,,Marilyn Monroe has been dead for 50 years this year,,,,saw a film about where her tomb is and front gets kissed and it stains the marble,,so a new front has been put on,,and it looks like another one will be needed before the anniversary.
There were some very famous names on the grave stones,,,some not long passed away,,,,ttfn from Karen.
