Due to obesity, my head has widen and looks fat, so that my eyeglasses look narrow and small. Is there a solution for this? Are there wider eyeglasses frames or can I order the lenses wider? Any hint?

I'd suggest a visit to the opticians and spend as long as you like trying on lots of different frames. In fact go to lots of opticians and try on lots of frames. If you have someone who's opinion you trust take them too. Some opticians do have staff that are willing to help you find something suited to your needs.

Frames come in all different sizes to suit all different head shapes. I generally go for a wider, more rectangular shape as I have a round face. Mr Luceeloo has a petite face for a man, so he usually has to go for a much smaller frame. There's loads out there available, as @wolfie11969 said, it's just a case of trying them on until you find something that you like. I'd recommend taking a few selfies in different styles, don't make your decision right away. Keep returning to your photos until you have fully decided which you like best.

Frames come in all shapes and sizes, many models are available in different sizes too. A good optician should be able to advise and they won't mind if you spend time looking and trying on.

Thanks but going to optician seems very limiting. They only have specific models/frames and they are usually eager to sell you the most expensive/old stuff.

You asked for advice and don't really want to hear what people have to say.
In my personal experience, other avenues (such as the internet, or off the shelf reading glasses) are far inferior. I would prefer to pay more and get suitable frames that will last a long time, rather than be a cheap skate and risk buying something that doesn't suit.
Dispensing Optometrist are a different option you could try. These usually specialise in providing prescription glasses as a cheaper price than standard opticians.

What answer did you want us to give to this question?

First, as I already asked, is it possible to make any frame wider by ordering wider lenses?
Secondly, if that's not possible, is there a way I can see online a wide variety of wider frames?

Hi @carbolysis ,

Frame styles & sizing is normally chosen to suit first, before the frames are sent off for the prescription lenses to be engineered to fit the frame.
Then it's just a matter of a slight fitting tweak with the temple tips over the ears & the pad arms when collected on completion...?

If you like your current frame & happy with the style? Why not get the bridge section widened to suit your face width...?
You may still need new lenses made due to the centre of field change with the new lense positioning?

To be honest, I was thinking to order new glasses from China on ebay, that would be wider, but I don't know if that will be successful.

My hubby got a wide face and buys normal specs from spescavers or independent optician.
To us looking on it doesnt massively notice to be honest. He looks wide faced with glasses or not... doesnt make any difference..

It can be..? Providing you have an exact measurement of your head & can contact the vendor on the spec of your specks....?
