We was having our daily conversation at work today about what we would and wouldnt do if we won the lottery when it struck me that if i did win the lottery i would still have to avoid sweets bread tats etc etc... for some reason i think that would be worse, at least now the rest of my life sucks along with the diabetes so it kind of blends in. lol just a thought

and can i request a new section in the board index titled, "stupid things that no one should read", and not have it appear in the new post section so i can say stuff like this and not bother anyone :) please :)

I very rarely do the lottery, but If I did and I won a substantial amount of money, the first thing I would do is donate a large amount tothe continuing research for a cure for diabetes, been type 1 for a long time and a cure would be a winner for me

all the best RRB

Yes likewise, I would make sizable donations to charity's close to my heart.

If you're serious, Andy12345, it would need a private member's thread I should think.

The donation gesture for a continuing research into a cure for diabetes, would be a wonderful move.

For me, apart for donating, I'd pay for a bone transplant, you know.....
to give me a few more inches of height .

Just kidding, and embarressed about posting trivial threads when I look at all the serious stuff being written here, but I can't help myself, it's like verbal diarrhoea but in my fingers :)

Nothing wrong with a light hearted thread Andy this is the "general" chat board after all :D

I wouldnt say no to a few million if I was lucky enough to win, I do do it and normally have one lucky dip in the Friday Euro lotto and another in the Saturday UK Lotto, the most Ive ever won was £65 though so ive not even been close yet.

For anyone old enough to remember the football pools I did get the maximum points one week it was the first week in the season so the divi was very low but the payout was still around £125,000 or something, unfortunately the coupon hadnt been posted that week

Wee Willie, I thought you had already won the lottery and purchased a heart transplant made of gold and a brain full of humor which is the best medicine that you give to us on this forum.
Mind you if I was half the man your are I would be a bit short but still a cut above the rest of them.
If I won the lottery I would say "not again"

Roy.

I won £5.20 once.....

I've never won any money. Not a single penny! Oh well, there's always hope. If I won the Euromillions I would sort out all my family's financial troubles, buy a plane, hire a pilot and fly all over the world!

Yes but you could at least go fish the best salmon rivers in Scotland during the day and eat healthy fish during the evening, prepared by the very best chefs too and washed down with the most expensive whiskys. Scrambled egg with grated black truffle for breakfast, oysters for lunch, yum yum. I'm sure I could put up with it anyway :-)

Actually, if you did need to indulge your sweet tooth, you would be one of the few people around who could afford to import your own supply of miracle fruit which turns sour things like lemon into something sweet:

I'm not sure If I saw "Carry on Henry ", but if I did I'd probably have laughed at the antics. lol

These old Carry On films...back then it was amazing the innuendo's they managed to get away with. :D
