Winter Keepy Uppies Type 2.

More electronic tag nagging. Have been for a 20 minute swim. Pool was crowded. Had a 20 minute walk around Asda to look at bargain clothes for a young relative. Have done some housework too. Have now got a red line warning on the tracker, which means I have to move some more. If I don't, the red line adds an extra arrow every 15 minutes. I like a challenge, but this is mocking me I am sure.

Have dropped off the exercise trolley lately due to an increasingly virile cold that has lasted 3 weeks. Mrs DeeJay lost her voice temporarily in October and has had a succession of colds since. I put it down to running round getting the house purchase completed, together with Christmas, and now we're not so pressured I think our immune systems are no longer keeping us going.
Ironically I think I did quite well over the Christmas food but now it's really hard trying to work out what pills and potions to take. In the supermarket I usually have to take the leaflet out of the box before I can find out if the pills are sorbitol-coated. Never mind, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Well done everybody else ;)

I think you have enough exercise/activity with the move, @DeejayR . Hope you and Mrs DJ feel better soon.

I've been running around after my poorly husband and daughter , also had a walk .
Hopefully will do better after new year . No I WILL DO BETTER AFTER NEW YEAR.

Determined to not let this tracker beat me. Went for a swim again. Pool deserted for a while so did 40 mins swim and 20 mins aqua running.
Every time I get a red line on the tracker I get up and move around the house, until it disappears. This could be the best motivator ever.

What's your electronic tag called Pipp?
I think I need to buy one .

It is a garmin vivofit.
I think it tells lies! I have been rushing round cleaning and it has a red line again meaning I have to move. I have hardly been still since I got up hours ago. I only sat down for a quick cup of coffee.

But... @Jamrox
I am finding out more and more about it, and synching it with my fitness pal app. It also tracks sleep levels.
Not a bad present.

Sounds like just what I need .ImageUploadedByDCUK Forum1451486954.366545.jpgImageUploadedByDCUK Forum1451486964.066503.jpgImageUploadedByDCUK Forum1451486985.082575.jpg

I went for a walk this morning. Pipp it's still raining in south west Scotland

Hello everybody. I hope you have all had a good Christmas. I actually went swimming yesterday even if it was only for 40 minutes:)

Walking about, shopping, washing paintwork, redecorating. Very satisfying if knackering.

Walking around town all morning with a 4 yr old and then carrying an injured 4 yr old round all afternoon, she stood on a nail so she thinks she is crippled. Thank goodness for barbie, life in the dreamhouse.

Oh no, I hope she's ok .
The 'B' word bring shivers up my spine though lol.

No walk today , Prosecco hangover to blame !!!

Walked down into town . 2nd January is a big party day where I live . Lots of live music and dancing where I live . Happy days

Happy Hogmanay @Jamrox. Same sentiment to everyone else. Think we are over the worse of winter? Well the equinox has been and gone, so we have achieved, have we not? Keep moving guys, you know it makes sense.
I have been busy. Avoiding floods, deep cleaning houses. Why wait until spring? If weather is too bad to get out, make use of the time indoors to have early clear up, then spring sunshine is for outdoors instead of cleaning indoors.

I have realised that the more effort I put into moving, the more this fitness tracker mocks by increasing the goals. I will set my own limits, from now, but will be mindful of that dratted red line to make me move more.

Hello. I need to get back on track so I've restarted my fitness pal to track my food and 40 minutes swimming today. :)

Me too mo53 and pedometer on waist band .
I have been for a 30 minute walk , it's hard in the cold dark nights though . Can't wait for the Spring.

I'm starting to look like a paintbrush. Three rooms, hall & porch walls done, skirting boards in progress, about to start on ceilings of all 8 rooms now the plaster is drying out. Plus daily shopping for food and a lot of walking about. Actually I'm really pleased to have all this useful exercise. Sleeping well!

Good for you, @mo53.

The fitness tracker I have can synch with myfitnesspal, to give a really accurate measure of calories in and out. Still working on understanding it all though. Too much new gadgetry for a fogey like me.

Been dodging rain and huge puddles to get outside. Walked a bit, shopped too. Then got busy with a broom sweeping mud and puddles away from the house. Got a feeling tomorrow will be snow shovelling.
