I just added about half a tablespoon of sweet chilli sauce to my salad. It's my first moment of weakness since diagnosis, it was just sitting there next to the salad bar...I've always loved it with feta cheese. This stuff is pretty much just pure syrup with a few chilli flakes added in....

Starting at 6.1. See you in 2 hours....

As Facebook would describe it you had a snackcident. Look at your BG meter very quickly at time zero and then pick yourself up and carry on.

That sounds great! I'll certainly be giving that a try. Almost immediately!

I made a sticky soy stir fry the other day with erythritol, soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil and chilli and I was sold. It was so sticky and sweet and spike-free!

45 minutes to go...Totally wasn't worth this level of anxiety. Let alone what I anticipate will be a horrible reading. Lesson learned!
 
*Drumroll*.....

6.5! With a re-test of 6.3.

So...Seems ok! I want to test again in an hour but I'll be driving unfortunately.

I may repeat the experiment tomorrow. Or I might just not risk sugar-sauce again...
