Try leaving a space between letters - we have a daft rude word filter - so woe betide you if your name happened to be Richard...:banghead:
My sons name is William Richard. We knew the risk but liked the names anyway. We only call him by the colloquial versions occasionally, he's too young to get offended by it lol

He can also be Bill(y) Rich(ie) :p

My now grown up nephew has always been called Rich, and my late uncle-in-law and my elderly neighbour next door were/are both Bill.

ETA: Ricky is also another alternative, but then you' d have to be thankful you're not an Essex man or the poor boy might be Billy Ricky from Billericay...
