Hi,
I am new to this forum. Diagnosed as Type 1, insulin dependent diabetic about three years ago.
I am currently working in a humanitarian charity.
As I am now looking a for a new role that could mean living for extended periods (up to a year) a remote and potentially hostile environments, I wanted to get an idea if any of you work in similar roles and how you have managed your diabetes. Also have you ever encountered issues when it comes to medical screenings (a role I am looking at mentions this).
Any input, even if not from humanitarian work but from similarly demanding contexts, would be really useful.
Thanks
