I posted this in another thread, but so did child's school (!)

Left over cake - World Diabetes Day
Dear Parents,

Year 5 had a "mini" cake sale today for year 5 and 6 for World Diabetes Day. They have a lot left over so we are going to open it up to the whole school tomorrow at break time. If your child would like a cake and to donate to World Diabetes day, then please send your child in with a donation.

Oh no! Do they think it's ok because it isn’t a “big” cake sale?!

I guess they just thought kids like cake. I did think about pointing out how odd it is (and yum, leftover cake!) But there is at least one diabetic child at school and at least two diabetic mums so I might sound very ungrateful.
