Update:

There are bathroom scales in our holiday cottage.

Leaving aside the issue of why any holiday let landlord would be so satanically sadistic as to offer their tenants the chance to measure their holiday weight gain ...

The scales are posh glass, steel and batteries. So probably accurate.

I have lost 13lbs in the 200 days when I was last weighed at the endo clinic.



Works out at something like 1/3 lb per week loss.
Which is stunning.
And I wouldn't want it faster cos I want my skin to NOT sag and hang in folds, like it did 10 years ago when I lost too much, too fast, and it took years to shrink to fit again.

This is awesome.
I'm eating so much fab food.
I'm never stressed, shaking, pale, guilty, hungry, cold, miserable, hypo or hyper.
I'm chugging double cream in scrambled eggs, coffee and on berries.
I'm eating Brie and pork scratchings as packed lunch.
I'm over 2,000 cals every day (I checked on myfitnesspal for about 3 weeks)
I'm sometimes up to 3,000 cals

Today has been
Scram egg (with cream) sausages
Coffee with cream
Prawn and walnut salad with mayo
Homemade low carb scone, strawberry jam and clotted cream
Chicken breast with garlic herb crust, Mediterranean veg with cheese and one biscuit, to follow.

And I'm losing weight.

I'm in size 22 jeans for the first time in 15 years.

Now, I know that weight loss stories and stuff are wonderful and a lot of you are going through the same, brilliant, experiences, but if you've seen many of my posts you will have noticed that I'm pretty resigned to NOT losing weight. I have been content with not gaining and just feeling well. Weight loss just doesn't figure on my horizon because it only happens when I'm in deep ketosis, and frankly, I can't face that for long enough to make a difference.

(I'm currently reading Bernstein's book on controlling diabetes, and while I am in awe of the approach, I ain't ever going to stick with his diet.)

So imagine my stunned delight when I pulled the wrong jeans out in my morning zombification, and they fitted.



So THANK YOU ALL - your enthusiasm, dedication and general wonderfullness is obviously pulling me deeper into ketosis, rather like being in the slipstream of a supersonic aircraft.

From someone you have helped and supported in so many ways I want to add my congrats as well!
I want you to be as happy as you sound In Your posts on this thread.
Keep up the good work! May you lose as many pounds as I have and worry about the wrinkles and folds of loose skin that has just suddenly appeared.

I have a problem remembering proper nouns! Trying to run a football team of 16 lads is and can be embarrassing and frustrating.
I remember my dad calling me my brothers name and he never noticed he said it! I hope I don't get that bad!
Or am I like that already?
