Peanut butter, together with any other fat helps slow down the digestion of the food, that is why it helps to control postprandial spikes.

I know there's a jar of peanut butter at my mothers' house and she isn't using it so if I hear something good from you I'll go round and raid the cupboards. No Idea what the carb value is like though?
 
I use it for cooking.
 
i am extremely obese. have almost zero carbs. two meals per day. started snacking on around 30-60gms of peanuts every other day for about 10 days. check my blood sugar regularly and was happy to see no issues whatsoever BUT i stopped losing weight. this last week, i stopped snacking. lost just over 2 lbs.
 
Being on a vegan type diet, I have got to get my fat from somewhere good.

Just found some Peanut Butter (300g jar) in Home Bargains that has carbs of 15g/100g. Taking that 300g = 12 portions, then 100g must = 4 portions.
So 15g carbs ÷ 4 portions = 3.25g/portion.
Now I know what you're thinking.......................where the hell did he find the " ÷ " on his keyboard?:D:p:D

That's half the Carbs again...............................good find. I've just googled it and it's available at Tesco
