Thanks so much 13lizanne when you begin this journey it's daunting so much info to take in I'm wading. Through it slowly,I tried keto diet good results lost body fat and stone in weight over six weeks, now just eating what I've found is good for me through BG testing, the fasting was initially told me by my doctor he suggested skip a meal and I've taken it up a few levels to between 11/12 am/ pm and 5 pm fast till following day. Great results Has of yesterday I'm going to try having a breakfast to see what happens with BG levels and those dreaded liver dumps, and I've had good results lately with having a supper of fats and protein. So your message was most appreciated thank you always nice to hear when you get somethings right for a change! KHi K you are doing exactly the correct thing in keeping to your low carb diet, sometimes when I fast my bloods are slightly raised for a while, our livers start to use stored glycogen for energy which can show up as slightly raised bg levels but your lchf breakfast supplied your body with energy without the sugar [carbs] Everyone is different of course, but I've noticed that other regular fasters on this forum experience the same thing. It's our overall levels that count anyway and the HbA1c is quite a good indicator of how well we are doing. Keep on doing what you are doing - it's working
