What a shock!
RIP Starman.
What a fitting song ....

His last album released only last week.
Black Star

Yes, very sad news indeed. He was a complete star and his influence on music was massive.

Such touching tributes being paid all day on the radio .. A sad day ..
You only learn such good things about a person when they have gone .. RIP

OMG this is incredible! This is a true artist with incredible courage. He knew it was over and this video in a hospital bed and a song with such raw emotion and visuals. This was released only last week. Goodbye David Bowie.

Oh no.... how very, very sad. He will be missed.

It broke my heart watching this. Been there but somehow came back, and those words hit home. Not many musical legends left, and the world has lost another one.

His own man, right to the end. Rest well now Mr B - you will be missed.:(

You might like to see this original postcard by David Bowie (not to everybody's taste I suspect)
david bowie.jpg
(Some years ago he contributed this to the Royal College of Art's annual Christmas postcard sale. (basically an exhibition with lots of postcards some done by famous artists ,some by students They were sold at £20 each and you buy blind as none have a signature on the front. There was always a huge queue so you had to camp in the queue overnight or have very little choice. We have a collection from several years and this is one of them.
I was thrilled when I realised who contributed this one. I chose it for it's anti racism/apartheid theme. It perhaps shows a different side of him)

He should have been knighted along with Ringo and Rod Stewart

A musical genius RIP

How very, very sad a lot of the 'legends' have gone now RIP David B

We will never see his like again, a one-off and a ground breaking musician, such sad news to wake up to today.

Time is passing and so is a generation. Who next I'm thinking .... Dylan Mccartney Jagger Richards ......
