Type 2 Life

Been awake since 4am. Very bad thrush, thanks Iceland creamy ice cream. A treat too far.
I'm just thinking it's a shame I couldnt use all this heat to heat my house. Something similiar to solar panels. Which I can plug in to a converter. Ha ha
I'd be worth a fortune. Ha ha
I have had two prolonged ICU admissions for severe sepsis (septicaemia) and was treated with IV antibiotics and oral antibiotics for months after discharge. I think they were too effective and gave all the fungi a field day and I had bad thrush a lot. It's awful and @ickihun you have my sympathy. :)

I think the same when I get the slightest infection as my temperature goes above 40 degrees centigrade.
At 40°C you will be in an ice bath and at death's door and delirious, I've been there. :)

Bit grey round here, son getting a lie in as he's got a bit of cold. Good walk last night listening to Depeche Mode :).

@maureen5752 sorry to read about your eyes, I hope the docs can do something to help you.
@ickihun and @PenfoldAPD early starts on a weekend are..... :arghh: hope you catch it up.

Going to bake a loaf for the family.

Wish good to all.

Morning all, @ickihun I've been having hot flushes for the last 4 years and I'm 43! I don't have to do anything, it will come over me like a wave and there's nothing I can do about it. My doctor recommended red clover capsules and I also like layering my clothes so I can take off a layer whenever I need to.
@maureen5752 sorry to hear about your eye, sending you hugs

@maureen5752 that sounds horrible and I hope it is deault with quickly so that you can start to get over it.

@ickihun try some Apple Cider Vinegar in cold water for both washing with And drinking does wonders for Thrush.....And I hope you get some rest today to catch up.

@PenfoldAPD we want pictorial evidence of the baking :-)

Sorry for all those who got rushed out of bed this morning but I have managed to lie in till 8:30 (Apparently due to my Husband having to get up to let the elderly Beagle out at 2am, I didn't hear a thing gov honest :-). Just tested at 6.7, under 7.0 so happy with that.

Lovely sunny day here so intending to take dogs out for a yomp then get down to horse to get some more winter coat out (yesterday I got out enough to stuff a duvet with!) then attack the garden and get it looking a little more groomed.

Have a good day everyone.

. About 7 yrs ago I got knocked over by a woman's pushchair & hit my head the first time, trauma can cause the detachment, I had headaches for 3 weeks after & floaters then when it finally detached I had bright light flashes & floaters got worse it seemed like I'd got big black spiders crawling over my face, not ashamed to say I screamed, frightened the life out of me, thought they were spiders, I'm petrified of spiders, went straight to A&E they told me that's when it finally detached, but this eye now has othere problems also, before I had a Periphial tear, and a bleed and had it lazerd, got macular so that's added risks, the detachment happens to most people after 50urs old cos of age doctor said, so it would probsbly happen anyway at sometime, but was told this can happen after catarach op but I didn't know that, everythink has risks. My othere eye is ok I presume, it has macular but, just got to get on with it, stress will only cause more problems, sorry been moaning to long I do apologise
No apologies necessary. Not surprised you screamed either. Thank you for taking the time to explain

Plain live yoghurt, applied, not taken, is supposed to help by balancing the bacteria. A tampon coated with the stuff to get it where it's needed (sorry gents). Luckily never had it that bad. .

Glad someone has the sun. It's horrible here

@hankjam I love early starts! Thankfully sunny in London (for the moment) so a swim outdoors and now breakfast in the garden! Good luck with the loaf, I'm making a lemon cake today - LCHF first baking attempt so looking forward to that.

BG back down to 4.9 now post swim

Must admit that when I had to get up at 6am to walk Sheba before work it was nice and peaceful with no-one around. Could tell when I was first down the path as I broke the spider webs as I walked down it. My body tends to wake naturally around 8 if I've slept well.

Is evening primrose worth having?

Is evening primrose worth having?
Supposed to be but Borage (aka Starflower) is supposed to be 10x better) .... I've got it for dog's skin but never thought to take it myself. Also a huge tub of micronised Linseed. Was thinking of making a low carb loaf but cba blitzing my linseeds...Doh!!!!!!

I went out to to dinner with my husband last night, had a wonderful meal, and I tried to make good choices. 6.5 before the meal, 6.2 2 hours after. However, 8.2 this morning first thing. I then went to the gym, came home and it had gone up to 9.1, even though i hadnt eaten anything. Then I had a low carb breakfast and a coffee with cream, 2 hours later it had dropped back to 8.0. Clearly I'm paying for last night. Even though my choices were good, my portions were big (3 courses including a scrummy cheese board). Plus we had wine.....

I've been in the garden for the last two hours, the weather is glorious today but tomorrow's forecast is not so good. I think tomorrow might be a housework day. What's everyone else got planned?
