Type 2 Life

No it wasn't that ,what with everything that has been going on I just wanted him to wait and see the doctor about his x ray in case the side effect or the injection made his hips worse . You never can tell with these things. The nurse said it wouldn't so he had it done I still wanted him to wait. I was thinking how does she know it wouldn't have any effect on him all people react differently as I don't trust medical people one bit. I always question everything .
Do you remember how long it lasts? I carnt remember. I had mine done about 4-5yrs ago.

So is this his second one?
No first last time we went she told us about it and she would do it on this vist if Ron wanted it . His next vaccination will be for flu in September if he wants that.

I wonder if you'll spike?
I've had eggy bread (protein roll with seeded top cut off first). It was very very tasty. Will have that again but in a few weeks time. I've never been a big bread eater. Pasta was my love!
Betterware now doing spiralizer too. Courgetti still in the plan for me. I might try m&s one first before buying more kitchen gadgets.
Sainsbury's sell prepared courgetti
Let you know 're spike

Well, I'm definitely a happy bunny - I've lost another pound (that's 9 in total!) And my BP is 98/66!

I'm not going to have any more 'flu vaccinations. I had the last one in early September 2015, caught 'flu in late November, and I was more ill than I have ever been in my life. I turned down two "offers" of a hospital bed and ended up on oxygen therapy at home. (At considerably less cost to the NHS, and immeasurably less stress to me!) It took me until March to get over it.

good afternoon, my friends on the www.diabetes.co.uk type 2 life forum,

i have my true you blood glucose meter test strips now. i took my blood glucose approximately 2 hours after eating a rather odd breakfast of a 3 pork sausages in onion gravy and mashed potato ready meal and it was 6.5. since then i've been gluttonously eating silly fattening food like half-cooked roast potatoes and 2 marmite sarnies. i feel like i'm abusing my diabetes and am feeling self-contempt about this abnormal eating. my blood glucose reading at 12:26 pm after eating all this muck was a disturbing 10.0. my adhd is the cause of this.

This is what I try and get across to Ron , there seems to be more and more people who have had similar experience's like yourself.

good afternoon, my dear friends on the www.diabetes.co.uk type 2 life forum,

i just remembered to continue on from my last post on this wonderful thread about my blood glucose reading being 10.0 after eating a lot. i think i know what precipitated that reading other than all the carbs. i was making a mug of tea for my good friend called lee and put 2 sugars in his, because he's non-diabetic so he can take sugar, then due to not concentrating very well i acci

then due to my attention deficit abnormalities accidentally put 2 sugars in mine and rather than waste the mug of tea i drank it because lee provided the ingredients for it. i've been drinking a lot of tap water to rectify my blood glucose level and then i can resume my lchf diet.

i love this forum. i've learned a lot from everyone involved in it and i am very grateful indeed. hugs to all of you and bless you all for being there for me.

Hi Johnny. It sounds as if you were lucky your BG didn't go any higher than 10! And at least you're finding it easier to identify the problem areas now. Don't beat yourself up over the odd lapse - we are none of us perfect.
Nice new avatar, too, I see! :)

Didn't get to test until over 3 hours later so the 5.4 went down to 5.2 by then....... was starving hungry and shattered so sat down with a brew to recover before making some dinner...I say "making" .. it was a pack of 6 cream cracker type with a pack of La Roule cheese on top....pre dinner test was 6.1.....(less than half hour after the 5.2) think the liver thought I needed a boost.....
I'd been "spring cleaning" one of the dog pens....she doesn't like her bedding changed too often ... she shreds it when its fresh and clean .... her bedding now looks like a load of big rags...clean ones I might add, but rags all the same....I'd love to give her a lovely furry blanket I have cos she's such a sweet girl but she will only rip it apart....

Hi Johnny
Seems you did ok with your "odd" breakfast....so that was good....it was probably due to the portion size as these often aren't all that big.....(and I've had odder breakfasts.....Manchester tart, cold pizza, Meat and potato pie...all in the "bad" old days ;))
You have recognized that what you have eaten wasn't the right sort of food to help your diabetes....you've acknowledged your ADHD is a problem with your control....don't feel contempt for yourself....you tested and found you were 10.00....not the best but way from horrendously high...and that was what made you realise those foods weren't good for you blood sugar in the quantities you ate them.....
Lots of positives have come out of your mornings eating.....recognition, acknowledgement and understanding..take heart and learn from them then move on.....
