Aww - thanks Arlene. I usually feel better once it actually starts to rain - it's the change in pressure from high to low or vice versa which normally savages me.
But now I'm beginning to wonder if today's fiasco might have been due to the tray of roasted Med vegetables I cooked last night, including tomatoes, aubergines and red peppers - all of which are said to affect arthritis sufferers. I also ate half a small baked potato, and that's part of the nightshade group too. All these veggies contain solanine, which is actually a poison in large amounts, but which is alleged to be particularly bad for arthritis pain.
I know - pretty stupid to eat them, then. But I have eaten all of them individually since starting LCHF and been absolutely fine, so I thought I could get away with it last night, as I have always adored roasted Med vegetables. I guess my body has other ideas!

I wonder if the carbs I was eating pre-diagnosis helped to mask or "soak up" the effects of the solanine....
In fact, this morning I have discovered that blueberries also have the same effect, and so does nicotine. No, I don't smoke, but apparently cauliflower contains nicotine (who knew?!!!). Yep, we had cauliflower with dinner last night too.
Oh well, lesson learned - it appears I can tolerate one or two of them, but NOT all together.
I hope this helps other arthritis sufferers... maybe we should start a new thread!
Hugs xx
