Afternoon all!

Today for some reason the forum appears to have itself stuck in desktop mode on my android phone (using Chrome).

Is this happening with anyone else?

Cheers,
Grant

Unsure what has happened to the forum but, was better the way it was...

I hate it the way it is now ......

Thanks for responding - I think I will log out and perhaps try again in a few weeks ....

Its been almost a week - is this how the forums are going to stay? We still have that message about the forums not running properly ..... I have stayed away and will try again in another week?

It's a technical, fault. It's being repaired but is taking time as its a big job.
Any update on tech fault?
I'm not enjoying this format either.
I hope I don't get too cheesed off!
Don't let engineers drag this out too long otherwise I'll be getting itchy to sue them. Ha ha Only joking but I've known some to have companies over a barrel. Let me know if they need jollying along. Us wolves are at the door. Ha ha We are here with support. Regards :)

Icki, to be clear, the "engineers" aren't dragging this out. I get the impression it impacts them at least as much as it does up as their workloads have become much more pressurised.

This has not been a straightforward roll-back or setting change to fix the forum.

They have my sympathy. Thank them for me when complete. We do appreciate their work and dedication. I'm sorry if I've moaned a bit too much too. I was really enjoying the ease of the last format. Thanks to you all at DUK for the huge support. The site and forum is a god send. :)

DUK is a different site, but I'm sure we get the sentiment. ;)

and long may it so remain...

There's more and more on there on reduced carbing, and in their charitable capacity they are funding Professor Taylor's 5-year study, so cut some slack maybe?

I'm not a DUK member, but I do support my local, very successful group which is chaired by the local SDN and Presided over by the local Endo. Not sure if they realise, but they've joined my educational programme. If we want change, there's a greater chance of it happening by being part of it than turning our backs.

Different horse for different courses.

I'm just about to join my local group, slightly scared but hope I will be able in time to have some input.

Where are you based? Just roughly; please don't be too specific on the open forum.

My local group's next meeting is the 28th. This particular group has over 30 attending each month. I never fail to be amazed how many get there regularly. They're really lovey people, and a good mix of "types", ages and interests.

I think we may have to agree to disagree on this one.
