Hi there :)

I'm not one for breakfast and my routine is a bit out of sync with reality at the moment. All I have had to eat today is a homemade pasta and seafood salad.

I find it an excellent balance. I class it as one of my main meals so I have bolus insulin with it. But I dont need much... appx 2u Nova Rapid (depending on how much pasta/seafood sauce I use :D )

Ingredients: 1/2 a cup of normal cooked prawns, 1/2 a cup of pasta (1/2 cup before cooking), A big handful of mixed crunchy salad. 1/2 sliced tomato or 8 sliced small cherry tomatoes. And a large tablespoon of seafood sauce. All mixed together thoroughly well! Yummy :D

Later tonight I think I will be having..... 2 x Breadcrumbed small pork/ham/cheese escalope type things I found in Lidl the other day. Boiled potatoes (no butter/salt) and boiled vegetables (peas/sweetcorn/broccoli/cauliflower/baby carrots). And maybe a little tomato sauce. :)

Coffee with cream.
Lunch Salad with tuna and olives
For super I'm having a 4oz steak with green beans from my garden and a capris salad with tomatoes from my green house.

Breakfast.
Porridge oats.
Lunch.
Chicken sandwich ( 2 brown slices) red pepper and cucumber
Blueberries and strawberries.
Snack.
Homemade protein ball.
Dinner.
8 oz steak chips and salad.

Breakfast;
Porridge made with water, with a splash of milk on the top - and 6 blueberries

Lunch:
1 x Sausage and 1 x bacon with salad

Tea:
4 x almonds
1 x 1.5" chunk of cheese
Tin of tuna (nearly whole tin), with 1 tablespoon of prawn mayo and spinach
1 x small chinese sauce plate with 3 raspberries, 4 blueberries with cream for dessert...which I had first before my main meal! ;-D

Oh nooooo. I forgot.... I have the 2nd half of the seafood pizza I made last night. It'd be a shame to waste that. :)

Amazing attention to detail.

I have never thought of making porridge with water. However.... a good idea. :)

I'm sorry... I got carried away with telling you what I ate and with just thinking of food generally and forgot to answer your main question..... "weight reduction or balancing carb intake". My goal is a balanced carb intake. :) I'm not doing so well atm though :)

Yes...no attention to detail here either. The minute you talking about food I just start drooling and everything else goes out of the window LOL. I'm trying weight reduction and attempting to push myself into gradually taking below 30 carbs a day or less. :-D

Here was my tiny dessert :wacky: ...with a teaspoon next to it just to give you an idea of the size!
Maybe I should eat all meals on this plate - they do say if you reduce your plate size you'll lose weight hehehe!!

WOW. That's so inspiring. That will take some will power and determination. I wish you every success. Good luck.
Thanks everway9 - it's perfectly do-able ...I just need to get myself and my fridge (and my husband) sorted out!!
