GOOD AFTERNOON/EVENING.

Planning a treat myself William. Chinese lunch buffet. I only eat meats and veg. A protein heaven, for me. They can keep their desserts, rice, noodles and chips. Protein queen me! I'd survive on a desert island as long as there's crab, fish and coconuts. Maybe a banana when in the mood. Veg can stay if delivered from Iceland. Ha ha
I just cannot resist protein, my downfall. It's suppose to damage your kidneys. Been diabetic 40yrs and still prefer protein. My sisters would eat sweets but I prefered tinned mackerel. Food for snacks instead of a fast fix. Maybe why I'm so heavy, maybe.

good afternoon

It's a changeable day here in the West Midlands. Sun one minute then cloudy the next. Not sure how cold it is as I havent been outside yet. The kitchen and bathroom windows are open but I'm opposite side of the house with a huge cardigan on.

I am supposed to be going out so no doubt I'll find out what it's like.

Have a good day all

Seeing my adopted aunty Sandra tomorrow for a coffee. Looking forward to seeing her. We've both been busy with kids lately.
My day turned out different than expected but still very good. It made a change from catering for young children. A lovely shared breakfast instead with partner all to myself. :)

Just to say, that I had a lovely evening meal out with 'old' friends and I ate sensibly = mostly vegetables and only 1 small Yorkshire Pudding. And.... wait for it = No Dessert at all. :) William.
Glad you enjoyed your evening out liam

@ickihun - Love is........ Vicky!!!:wacky:. Sharing your breakfast with your Partner I am referring to.

Hiya

I lived in Kings Heath for 30 years then upped sticks and lived in Swansea for 5 years. I then decided the Midlands were calling my name so I ended up in Dudley (not far from the zoo).

And sorry to hear you're feeling so unwell. The flu jab can make people poorly, perhaps have a word with your GP and see what they advise for next year. As for the stomach ache I'm not sure if that is flu jab related but might be best speaking to a pharmacist see if they have anything you could take. I suffer with irritable bowel syndrome so I can appreciate stomach ache isnt fun. Chamomile tea is supposed to be good and can be picked up in major supermarkets. Peppermint tea is also good but the taste gets some getting used to. And a hot water bottle can work wonders.

Let me know how you're feeling

Hi thanks, Ive suffered with Ibs for many years, but I was put on metformin SR about 10 days ago & bgs gone up, I think stomache pain is side effects of the SR metformin, trying to get to see a doctor is difficult but when your diabetic it's hopeless, I'm seriously thinking of changing my doctor & going to another surgery, I wasn't gonna have flu jab this year as I was ill for months after having it last year but doctor was pushing for me to have it, certainly won't have it next year. Yes I drink peppermint tea I really like it & cammoline tea, thanks again hope your well & having a good evening

Hiya

Our doctors surgery are part of the new Govt scheme where you have an online account for making appointments are repeat prescriptions. Perhaps see if your surgery offer something similar and then join up. It's a way of beating the queues and the endless phonecalls trying to get an appointment. Or ask if your surgery do 'pre-bookables' where your appointment is made for a few days in advance. Some surgeries seem to be behind the times. Good luck it does sound like your new med may be causing you problems and therefore you may need something different. Not all meds suit everyone.

I think our surgery just has to many patients, I don't use laptop anymore had trouble with people trying to hack it so I don't use anymore & since eye ops find glare on screen a problem, I have to use magnifying glasses to use my phone now. So just see how it goes. Hope your well

@Liam1955 hi hope your well & everyone else, still on SR but numbers are slightly higher during day & still high in morning compared to bog standard, but suffering gurgling tummy st night, heavy headaches for 4 days now, tummy cramps, lethargy, heartburn & feeling cold most of the time, tried to get appiontment but so far no good, can't put up with these headaches, prefer to run to loo if needed (sorry) also hot flushes back again, things take time I know but can't cope with these heavy headaches feel like elephant is sitting on my head. Have a good day everyone

I am sorry to hear that you are still suffering @maureen5752 - as you know We are not 'allowed' to tell you what to do! But, if it was me - I would stop taking the offending tablet and ask for an emergency appointment to see a Doctor at the Surgery.
Sending you big HUGS Maureen - :)
