I keep reading about bulletproof coffee on different threads on here. This is completely new to me.

Could someone who uses it please explain - what it is & how they use it ?

Thanks in advance :)

Thanks

I had had a quick google but when I saw the price of the Brain Octane Oil it was talking about - I wondered if this is what people are using or if I was mistaken !

I tried to make bullet proof coffee with coconut oil.....it was so disguating and it was even the best kind of coconut-fat...

maybe it tastes better with real cream... maybe.... don´t think it will become one of my favorites.

Is there bullet prof tea also?
yes why not ?

I think it is originating from the bulkworkers that really bodybuild big time and need the very high caffeine boost to keep on training when really hurting and working like an angry rhino

But "coffeine" is bad for my anxiety :joyful:

Caffeine is too..:hungry:

Bulletproof coffee is coffee that has coconut oil, butter, and/or cream added then is emulsified or blended until combined and creamy. It is extremely high fat and calorie and can keep hunger away for a long time. Yes you can do it with tea as well. It is often used as a meal replacement on a LCHF diet.

I don't drink coffee so I have never tried it and it might indeed mess with things like a freight train going through a tunnel :nailbiting: but I guess the only way to know would be to try it. Just stock up on train tickets first :p

Never heard of it. Seeing the ' How to make it' did not convince me, in fact it appeared pretty obnoxous, and very messy.
I think I will stay with my present method using my DeLonghe and adding real cream to taste.:bigtears:

Hi,

Though I can't help.
I saw this thread & thought @bulkbiker .
I make my own version which is coffee (in my case 3 shots of espresso) a tablespoon of coconut oil and a mix of double cream and hemp milk 50:50 in my milk frother. So I have a bulletproof latte. For a "proper" version you use butter and coconut oil or for the version advocated by the guy who invented it butter and his very expensive brain octane oil. It is great for keeping hunger pangs at bay so I usually have it for elevenses on my fasting days.

I quite like the taste of the coconut oil .. the latest batch I bought doesn't taste of much so is bit disappointing,.. You really need to mix the oil in very well indeed as the fatty bits floating on top of the coffee make it look a bit unappealing. But with a really good mix I like it.

I only drink tea, because you know, it's superior..:joyful:
The origins of bulletproof coffee are in fact from yak butter tea in Nepal. At least that's what the inventor claims.. High fat drink that keeps you feeling full for ages as well as being very insulin neutral.
