4.9 this morning, it seems the coffee helped yesterday to reduce the size and extent of the dawn phenomena. This morning was helped by the quantities of red wine, white wine, blue label whisky and champagne. I am thus entering 2017 poorer, with a bit of headache, but on the plus side low blood sugar ! - not a daily cure though.

Yes thanks, just recovering at home from the nasogastric tube and camera they put down. Have had breakfast and BG has promptly gone down to 6.2!

Thanks @CherryAA, it was a bit of an experience being in a&e at 4am new years day! I think as diabetics we see the down side of the NHS (eg re lchf) but my god those a&e people work their socks off!
