My hba1c in march was 48 now it's 51 eeek
My HB1ac was 88 2 years ago got it down to 65 thought I was doing ok, must try harder. Went to see diabetic Nurse last week saying I give up I will go on insulin been avoiding it for 6 years, especially when my partner said it is a shame that you have to go on insulin Because you can not control what goes in your mouth.
I would say that My Mother and her 5 siblings all have diabetes and 3 out of 4 of my siblings have diabetes type unfortunately my partner is under the impression that anyone with type 2 can not control what they eat.
I went a saw dietitian and was completely honest what I ate and she said why I am seeing her as I know what I'm doing my diet is healthy and I can control what I eat I don't have sugar, carbs cut fat off meat, don't fry anything I use my air fryer and still my numbers are rising. Starting to question if I'm type2 or mody diabetic. I'm seeing doctors on Thursday so I'll take it from there.
Less than 30g
In that case you do need to discuss matters with a doctor. With such low carbs your levels should be lower.
I am sure you know - lower your carbs food and/or liquids , and artificial sweetners if ingesting - I am working on this one now again.. bloating out alot.I went a saw dietitian and was completely honest what I ate and she said why I am seeing her as I know what I'm doing my diet is healthy and I can control what I eat I don't have sugar, carbs cut fat off meat, don't fry anything I use my air fryer and still my numbers are rising. I'm now starting meds glicazide I hope I can tolerate them. And I'm booked in to see the diabetic nurse
I take gliclizide and eat under 30g cabsquite happily - different people will have different responses to medications depending on a whole load of factorsI don't like Gliclazide as it can often require you to eat carbs to correct low levels, just what we should not be doing. There are newer drugs that help your body put the BG down the wc that may be a better option.
If I had to choose between Gliclazide or putting up with a HbA1c of 50, it would be a hard choose, as Gliclazide has an increased risk of hart attaches and strokes so you have to compare that to the risks of a HbA1c of 50,.
