What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hi Everyone
This morning my blood sugar was 6.1 , ate porridge and half a banana, by 12.00 felt very shaky and tested at 4.4. Should I have eaten a snack at 11.00. Only been doing ironing and packing parcels this morning. the same thing happened on Wed when i had driven for the first time since getting diagnosed. Any suggestions please

I always admire people who are really talented at music -- unfortunately, when I was young my piano teacher dispaired over me. I still enjoy listening to good music though.

I wouldn't describe my very limited ability as talent. I do however really work hard at it. I find my lessons extremely useful and am now starting to tinker with grade 8 pieces but without daily practice it would be a complete waste of time and effort. I have been at it multiple times per day now for about 18 months and have finally worked out how to get the piano lid open without it banging back down on the ends of my fingers :)

Good Morning! 5.5 at 0930 here.
It was a full moon and the festival of Loy Krathong here yesterday, when Thais float small decorated boats on rivers, ponds and lakes, and launch fire lanterns into the sky for good luck. I was feeling a bit tired after three late nights and too much alcohol, so I sat on my balcony with just one beer and watched the lanterns being launched from the beach and went to bed at 11pm. Feeling more lively today, and have now adjusted to the time difference.

Good morning, sounds like you're having a good time there. I'm just about ready for bed. It is 11:30 pm here in North Eastern Ontario. Have a great day.

Jealous, jealous I'm so jealous. Sounds like you are having a wonderful time. PS you can never have too much alcohol or too much food :)

6.0 is more than acceptable. 8km would give me very tired feet. I am just on the way out with the little blond terrorist and we will do 6km at which point she starts panting and biting my leg. Have a fine weekend young man :)

في عطلة نهاية الأسبوع سعيدة لكم كل ما عندي من الحمام طبطب الثدي السكري. قد كنت جميعا يطير صحيح وسريع. This morning I consulted Neville my goldfish who has second sight abd a strong clairvoyant tendency. He looked me in the eye from his bowl and let out 3 bubbles. He either needs some Bisodol or my blood sugars are at 3.0mmols. I shall let all of you, the diabetic jury decide which it is to be. May you all have a weekend of extreme fun and frolics.

Lower than you like but a fine diabetic number. Try to get a bit of kip as being tired makes people grumpy and we do not want a grumpy Lady K. What am I saying? You are never ever grumpy. Have a great weekend too :)
Thanks mr d il try i am a nark when im tired my hubby will attest to that numbers are a little low for me but on the uppside ive just had 2 rich tea biccys every cloud and all that ...

8.9 today. The end of an awful week workwise and a not so good week BG wise. I aint gonna beat myself up about it but it does get you down. Am coming to the conclusion its time to get out of the pharmacy business and retire.? Its not far away methinks.?

On a brighter note my son bought two tickets yesterday to see Runrig down in London early next year. That should be a great night out as they are a music favourite with me.

good morning all :)

4.4 today

I met a woman I used to work with yesterday, I haven't seen her much recently and she hugged me and said, 'Wow - you're so tiny' (I'm really not, just a good bit less tubby than I was), then she said 'you need to get some clothes that fit, you look like you're tied up in a bag' :arghh::D

I've got loads of nice stuff that fits but also a habit of just flinging on something I know is comfortable without checking the mirror. Time for another wardrobe sort out obviously ;)
