Carbs carbs but how many

Hi we read a lot about low carb diets but how low is low is there a useful table somewhere on how many the minimum and maximum carbs are ??

There are no minimums.. there are no essential carbs for health.
Most people start to classify "Low Carb" as fewer than 130g per day others say less than 100g.
As for me I follow a ketogenic way of eating which is usually thought of as fewer than 20g per day.
So as with everything you pays yer money etc...
 
I started aiming for fewer than 100 carbs per day and reduced that to my present target of 35 to 45 carbs per day but often go much lower. It is a personal choice which, to me, relates directly to blood glucose control.
 
N.B. Do take some time when lowering carb intake, I jumped in with both feet and suffered 'Carb Flu' which was particularly unpleasant. Good luck.

I agree, on diagnosis I started on < 100g carbs/day then after 6 weeks I reduced it to 50-70g/day. That’s where I stay now as I achieved a non diabetic HbA1c at my last review. Having said that I’m not complacent that I’ve cracked it, I still accurately carb count and monitor my blood sugars several times/day.
 
There are no rules as to how many carbs you should have it depends on the individual and what suits them

You did not say what your HbA1c is, nor whether you are taking diabetes drugs. Are you Type 2 or Type 1?

If you are taking certain drugs, you should exercise caution if you go "low carb" because the doses may need to be adjusted (reduced) over time. This is especially important if you are taking insulin. Your doctor or nurse should be able to advise you about this.
