What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hey, hey hey Lady K, thank you for your concern but worry not. Whenever I walk the little blond mutt because I am usually in the middle of nowhere I always carry more Lucozde with me than a Glaxo Smith Kline tanker. You really can never be too careful, particularly at 5.30am in a morning
But i do worry mr d

Just re-read your post you say little ones! Are you have more than 1 baby?
You'd think I should know better than ask but it's so exiting, though I didn't always think this for myself when I was pregnant but that was many moons ago and I did have 4 of them, not all at once! K

Hahaa yes! Twins! Runs in the family! Two in one go I suppose but double trouble!!

Hi johnpol glad to here your still in the land of the living and the man flu hasn't got you yet! Get well soon and be careful with those low BG levels. K
why thank you for your concern, more than my wife shows me !!!!! getting a bit sick of it (pun intended) now. High one minute low the next. sounds like a well known rugby song!!!!!:angelic::)

It's interesting to me that you have epilepsy.I was diagnosed about thirty years ago with epilepsy and retired early from my job when it began to affect me more.I wasn't on any medication but thinking that would be the next step .....and had a bad seizure away from home and was taken to hospital by ambulance. They found I had diabetes! The strange thing is since that awful day I have been seizure free, and still don't have medication for it.The doctors just don't know(and aren't particularly interested) in why this has happened......so sorry you have had these problems, hope you get things sorted soon.
You can have seizures if your blood sugar goes really low. Diabetes and s the underlying cause of so many problems. I didn't have any seizures until 1st year University. It may have been stress related. I have only had a handful. But it was enough to get me on meds.

Hi lxarix glad we sorted out which country you live in I thought why if he lives in uk would he be traveling to Toronto? Need to try to get the brain into gear, I was 71 on the 1 st October and you are still very much a young man with lots of life ahead of you. Deal has best you can with any health issues and live your life, that's my motto. I have never been to Canada then I've mostly traveled around Europe, been to New York a couple of times, would love to see other countries whilst I'm still relatively fit and active so who knows I may get to Canada, but it sounds cold. Take care I wish you well. Kathleen
It isn't always cold, though today is particularly frigid out. In the summer it is quite nice. It is such a big country, I've barely seen any of it myself. Haven't visited Ottawa, the capital, once. I also haven't been out west. One of my dream trips is to drive out west to Vancouver, than drive down th West coast to San Francisco, than come back home through the States. I've visited the States many times, and every winter now I increasingly understand why people escape to Florida during the winter months.

Love the drive and the thought of being in London...being a Londoner born & bred I know it so well...en route makes me feel so nostalgic...however...after a couple of hours there (nowadays mainly for work)...I have to get out...sold up in London about four years ago...moved to the countryside...missed London so much thought we'd made a mistake...now...would never want to live there permanently again...noisy...expensive...crowded...wonder how I put up with it for so long!
Big cities like that are fun to visit, and I totally get the sense of nostalgia. I love that there is so much humanity around. I really like being a part of it. But I won't want to deal with the traffic, the constant construction, and the expense either.

I didn't know that.At the time of dx for diabetes,I was so shocked I didn't ask the right questions.I do remember saying to the doctor,"oh type 2,it's not serious then"He soon put me right about that!!How little I knew. After sixteen years of d2 a year low carbing has really helped.Ive taken things slowly because of my age,but everything has improved this year.Im still on Metformin and reluctant to change too quickly.I hope you have good care from your doctors.

I've been really lucky. I have nice, smart doctors. My family doctor is nice, and well regarded. I was told he was a good doctor by one of the nurses who was looking after me when I was in the hospital. Also, my endocrinologist is really nice. She new to the city, and young. My neurologist I been seeing for so long. Plus I have a great health care team, a diabetes nurse, and a dietitian all helping out. So I really have a good team in place.

That's good ....it's always good when you have confidence in those who care for you.

We have twins in family on my fathers side but none of my immediate family have had multiple births. Yes two together is harder work so hope you have family around you to help out,but what a lovely event for you and your family. By my reckoning it will be April time spring babies .Take care of yourself and babies will be fine and it will be a pleasure to here from you anytime you want to chat. Kathleen

Good morning all, my BG this morning was 6.6. It is freakishly cold out right now here -13c. I think I stay in today, and cozy up. I have a few things to take care of, but they can wait until Monday. How's everyone' s day been so far?

Hello again
Me and my husband have been out for lunch we found a lovely pub serves home cooked food,I've had salmon and veg,Geoff had home made steak and ale pie chips and veg. Then a little treat treacle Parkin cake with custard we shared this, lovely meal. Then out for a look in shops and home again great afternoon. Kathleen

Good Morning! 6.3 at 0720. Highest fbg since I've been here. I had red pork and dumplings instead of pork noodle soup for a change last night, and no alcohol - I thought my liver could do with a rest.
There has been heavy rain, only for about 30 minutes each time around 4pm the last couple of days, but there are thunder storms forecast around 2pm then 5pm today, so I might give the beach a miss today though it's warm and sunny now.
Have a good weekend wherever you are!

Mən şənbə olduğuna inanıram və hər kəsin yatağından çıxdığımı düşünürsən 6: 00-dan bu yana başınızı sınamaq lazımdır. After hiring a commercial floor polisher and moving around some of my furniture I have turned my living room into a diabetic roller disco. I am currently sat in an NHS walk in centre with an ice pack on my dislocated knee but boy oh was I going at some speed when I smashed into my own fireplace. It broke into 4 pieces and curiously enough my blood sugars are 4.0mmols. Happy skating my fellow diabetic roller blading posse massive.

It’s a BG of 5.7 today at 6.30am. it just never ceases to amaze me. Am convinced that “him” up there throws in a wobbly from time to time just to keep me guessing.? One thing about diabetes is that it is never predictable.
Your not kidding there ymdawd
