Would love to know what you all use as a normal bread substitute out there?
Been lately told I’m ‘pre’ and am still trying to alter diet and find decent eatable solutions or substitutes for bread, toast etc
Thanks. x

Hi lo bread from sainsburys or ocado 5g carbs a slice
Joseph pittas and laavash breads via amazon

I don't - bread was not part of my diet for a very long time - it made, and presumably still would make me gain weight.
For years I have made toast for others and eaten something else - either cold from the fridge or cooked it for myself.
These days I do buy the Lidl protein rolls but that is because I am now going out of the house so much more frequently and for longer, so find them handy.
When at home I might make rolls with beefburgers or tuna etc. for himself, but eat mine with vegetables or salad.

I use Livlife bread which I buy in Waitrose, expensive at £1.50 for a small loaf but only 3.8 carbs a slice. I also sometimes have High Protein rolls from Lidl which normally work out at about 9 carbs per roll. These rolls are high in calories so if you are trying to lose weight then don't eat too many.

High Protein Rolls from Lidl. About 10g carb per roll. Very filling and totally delicious sliced in half and toasted with a generous spread of butter. 29p each, freeze well.

I switched from ordinary bread to Burgen and Lidl rolls and then found that my 'need' for bread slowly diminished to the point that I do not eat it at all now. Initially, I thought I would starve without bread (and potatoes) but I am now comfortable with my way of eating. So for me, the switch to low carb breads was a good one. Enjoy!

Will try Lidl and Sainsbury’s and hopefully some the ones mentioned. I don’t eat a lot of it would still like it now and gain. Many thanks
