Best HbA1c in my whole T1 life (23 years!) - thank you!

Have you got these numbers low like this over Christmas? If so that is a double whammy wow factor. Yes be happy and proud of yourself hun

Thank you so much!

I was on holiday (skiing) for Christmas and had my test done the day before I went away so results don’t include Christmas!! That said, my average has been even better than my HbA1c the past 7 days (7.6)

You should be massively proud. Hope 2018 brings even better results as you've clearly got to grips with it now. Happy dance...

Thanks.

I’m aware it’s not perfect but after struggling for so long this is huge progress for me, as T1.

Your numbers are fabulous for now:) and now you have got the hang of it you will no doubt find you can get better and better over time. I'm T2, I started off at 92. I recall being fabulously pleased with myself for getting to 64. The doctor reporting the result said something along the lines of that's good but....... If I had had a frying pan to hit him with, I would've done:) .Anyway one year on this morning I got an Hba1C reading of 36 inclusive of xmas binge and I am one proud woman. I can honestly say that getting that first reading was the hardest part, since then its becoming ever easier to choose and enjoy the foods that enabled me to get this far. I am sure you will find the same until it becomes second nature and you will be going strong like Dr Bernstein aged 90 ! Well done !

Congratulations on your result - it's clear you've been trying really hard (despite what your username presently suggests :)) and your efforts are really paying off. Well done you!
