What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Been to hospital today I have been told it is skin cancer but not to worry has I won't die from it, I now have to go back on 23rd January for a second consultation,where they will assess it and give me a date for surgery Has I will have to go to theatre to have it removed,so at least I now know what it is though couldn't remember it's name,and I know I needn't worry that it will take my life? The rest I will hopefully find out after next consultation. The last time I had a lump removed it was non cancerous and was removed there and then and the biopsy was taken and I got the results fairly soon in around a couple of weeks in the post. Today it was very different the doctor was only able to tell me what it was and the rest is upto the next consultation and surgeon? But it looks like you have got me for a while yet and that's a huge relief! K

Certainly higher than usual Freema...possibly because you didn't measure right away...we all have different timeframes where the food we eat will reach it optimum levels on our BGs...for some that is half an hour...an hour...could be that you tested right at the point where your food would elevate your BGs to their highest point...did you test an hour or two hours after that...would demonstrate how your body dealt with that rise...for me that is such an essential part of my Diabetes management...I do have some rises that are unexpectedly high...I always test about an hour later to see how that has (hopefully) come down...7.7 ...not what you expected...but still within range...don't let it worry you to much...another day today.

Good morning 6.7 ......very little sleep the HGV drivers sounded their horns several times as a protest at us at 12am then 1.30am then at 7am this morning.Cant see what they hope to achieve as the traffic calming is in place,and wasn't approved by most of us in the village!We will talk to the local police today,not sure what will be the next step!I had about 3hrs of sleep last night and was woken from a deep sleep at 7am.Sorry rant over, just feeling very fed up with their childish and bullying attitude.

Hi@heavyd thank you for your lovely thoughtfulness, at least he followed the diagnoses with it won't kill me it was treatable so now all I want is for them to remove it as soon has possible, I'm being very positive about it and not letting it get me down and hopefully this is not the start to the New Year that will continue.
Hope your keeping well yourself and enjoyed the Christmas celebration with your family and I suppose now it's back to the grind of work and busy days. Do look after yourself lovely to hear from you ! Take care K

What childish behaviour from so called adults! Hope you can get something done about it all would they like it on their door step No! K take care Glenmac have a nod if you can sometime during the day if you can!
