What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good morning all. Blood sugars were 4.8.

@karen8967, @philchap1 and @Cumberland -- so sorry to read about your low blood sugars yesterday. Please take care.
So many low readings wonder if there was some truth in cold weather affecting BG levels posted on here last week!
Your BG are great ziggy hope your keeping well! K

Thanks, Kathleen. Yes, it seems that I am doing better with exercise every second day rather than every day as before -- but want to observe this for another two weeks.

Great that your blood sugar levels are coming down again -- I am sure it was all the stress of not knowing before. Thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed that you'll have your operation before February.

Thanks @Granny_grump_ thought about you in the night and hope all goes well.My daughter had skin cancer in her thirties. She had just had a beautiful baby(now19!!!) and finally after much nagging from me went to her GP.The op was successful and she has been fine, but we all worry when we hear the C word.Your holiday will be something good to look forward to.G

Morning all. Was 7.2 at 8.30 this morning. Haven't been testing/ posting for a while until my chocolate Birthday cake etc are no longer there to tempt me! :angelic:. Have a good day one and all.:)

take care kev thats far too low especially as you never felt it :nailbiting:

Thanks
I can feel it now mind, hypo hangover I call it, with that headache that comes afterwards, my fault, having lost my meter on Monday, borrowing a GlucoRx one with 5 strips and scrounging another from the hospital with another 10 strips I've not been testing 10 times a day so am 'winging it' as I go, hopefully my new Accu-Check meter will arrive this morning, I say hopefully as I've just the one test strip left....

Just one of those weeks I guess :)

good morning all :)

4.1 today

Hello and welcome to the forum @Coldkallan I'll tag @daisy1 to post the useful information for new members for you.

We shifted and stacked all the logs yesterday thankfully because it's pretty cold here today :( and mum got a phone call last night to say that she may be getting visitors to stay for her birthday next week.

Aye, a repeat script for 4 packs x 50, but Accu-check Aviva, long story short our hospital have GlucoRx so that's what they gave me, I've an unopened box of Aviva strips but as yet no meter and 1 nexus strip with 2 nexus meters.

The plan's simple, if postie doesn't bring me the new Accu-check one then when I've used the last strip I'll take the widow next door her husbands newest one back (with no strips) and then borrow their Aviva Nano & get some batteries (No :p I don't live next door to R*bbiesw*n).
(I posted a thread 'Libre trial' in another section here which kind of explains how I got here this week :) )

I'm trying to work out a tactful approach for the Nano (if it works) on a cheap or free permanent basis (she's been widowed 7 months)
