Replacement pens

Hello, my 27yr old son is type 1, at the weekend he lost his jacket with both his Lantus & Novorapid pens in the pocket. There was a very old one of each at home luckily but where is the first port of call for replacements? He has a clinic review in 10 days, or should it be done through his doctor?
There always seems a real reluctance to issue new pens/monitors.
Thank you for any advice

I'm not an insulin user, so I'll tag @himtoo and @Juicyj who might be able to guide you.

Hi there Boots is the best place to get an emergency pen, you may have to pay but it’s easy to get hold of one there.

ring your son's diabetic nurse tomorrow morning -- first thing ( 9am )
they can give you replacements -- -- while you are getting those get spares from them too .............

and a warm welcome too.......... :)
