Hi,
I'm a 32 year old, male, 5'6, slim, 10ish stone.
Been lethargic and losing memory function for about 4 years. Seems to have coincided with eating a mostly vegan diet.
For years my diet has been mostly white rice, large variety of vegetables, soy and sesame oil and the odd bit of chicken and beef. And chocolate a few times a week.
I've been waking up for the last few years a few times a week with what I now believe to be hypo symptoms. (I've been stumped for years). Although after BG tests I think they're psydo hypos.
Here are my blood glucose tests I've done so far since switching to low carb, high fat diet.
Morning 12 hour fast - 7.3 (major hypo symptoms/panick attack)
30 mins after eating - 6.0
(Eggs and butter)
Morning fast - 6.1
Morning fast - 6.8
Here's where it gets interesting
Breakfast 15 mins after - 5.0 (felt overwhelmingly tired and had to lie down)
(Eggs, butter, cabbage, 1/4 avocado)
1 hour after lieing down - 6.7
I haven't been diagnosed or been to the doctors about this in a few years. I'm just trying to work out what this morning feeling is (and why I'm always tired). I always thought it was a food intolerance, hence restricted diet. But something led me to check my blood glucose levels and they seem high?
Any thoughts?
