Hi.
I was diagnosed late November last year to be honest at the time I was really scared over the last few months I've managed to bring my blood glucose levels down from 17.5 to around 5 on a morning and throughout the rest of the day it's around 6.0 / 7.5 I'm coping just about.
I've tried my best to reduce my carbs I've lost almost 2 stone's in weight.
I went to see my diabetis nurse last week and was told she is very happy with my progress and promptly told me she won't see me again until this time next year " Is this normal?
I still have question's regarding my diabetis things are happening with my body I just don't understand for instance I need to see a podiatrist regarding my feet she says I've lost some sensation in my toe's which I was unaware of.
I am a wheelchair user with widespread arthritis as well as other ailments.
I have also been told I will need to see someone at the hospital for a scan of my eye's is that normal?
I would also , while I'm here like to thank everyone who helped me out when I first came across this forum the advice as been very gratefully received.
I will keep dropping in once in a while I'm looking for vegetarian recipes if anyone can point me in the correct direction?
Take care Julie
